Abel Tasman

Wednesday November 10th – Nelson

Early start to the day leading to the SBL bus picking up everyone & there brother including school kids too! From Nelson through Richmond & Motueka for a drop off at Kaiteriteri for the Wilsons boat cruise through the Abel Tasman National Park. With blue skies & sun shining down & off of the blue-green waters of the bays, it was a perfect day. The cruise swung by the split apple rock & by Fisherman & Adele Island before dropping us (Anja, Fredriek & I + other Magic trampers) at Anchorage in Torrent Bay for our 4 hour trek back. Along golden beaches with pebble stones, not so much grit sand, along sandy tracks through forest & along beaches…………. What a glorious day. The 3 of us were alone sunbathing & attempting to swim (got up to my knees but the water was just too cold!) all by ourselves at Askteren Bay. We continued our way south to Marahau for our pickup return to Nelson. Amazing pictures for amazing memories  Hard to believe it was less than a week ago we were in our full layers & gear for the Tongariro crossing! On down the west coast….
